According to TechCrunch, a search startup just raised $26 million to offer an AI-powered rival to Google. Perplexity AI bills itself as a “conversational search engine” that uses similar technology as Google’s Bard and Microsoft’s Bing. With so many chatbot search engine platforms on the market, it’s hard to say whether Perplexity will have much luck against tech giants like Google and Microsoft.
