Is the founder of OpenAI scared of what he’s created?

According to CNBC, Sam Altman, the founder of Open AI, is worried about the ability of authoritarian regimes to develop competing AI technology. As various states attempt to keep up with American AI success, Altman is concerned about large-scale disinformation campaigns or cyberattacks.

However, he’s not concerned about the threat of AI to job security. AI is used as a co-pilot rather than a complete employee. Further, it creates the opportunity for better jobs with more critical thinking involved.
