Microsoft has added new image-generating AI capabilities to its improved Bing. This tool is powered by DALL-E, which is a model from OpenAI, the same company that produced ChatGPT. It will allow users to create images from text and is available in preview.
In light of criticisms of the Bing chatbot, Microsoft has developed safety measures that aim to limit harmful images, and watermark generated images to clarify that they were created using AI. Recently, Microsoft has also announced it will add generative AI technology to Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. As the leading giant in AI implementation, we will see how Microsoft’s newest Bing fares.
